New Zealand lost the important wicket Brendon McCullum after a quick start in the second One-Day International (ODI) at Napier. McCullum was playing his shorts and gave his team a quick start. Pakistani paces looked helpless in-front him. By watching this Misbah-ul-Haq decide to introduce Shahid Afridi early. This trick worked. Trying to play a  McCullum back foot punch, McCullum chopped the ball back onto his leg-stump. He went back after making 27 ball 31. New Zealand reached 48 for no loss after 10 overs.

Earlier New Zealand skipper McCullum won an important toss and decide to bat first on a sunny day at Napier. They are already 1-0 up in the series and victory on this game would give them third back-to-back ODI series wins. For this game New Zealand have made three changes – Kane Williamson, Daniel Vettori and Tim Southee have come in the playing eleven place of Tom Latham, Corey Anderson and Kyle Mills. Whereas Pakistan fielded an unchanged side.
