Sanjay Ganda, a fan, who took a one handed catch at Christchurch during the inaugural game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 between New Zealand and Sri Lanka won one million dollars. The 11th edition of ICC Cricket World Cup tees off with the encounter between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, the venue, Hagley Oval, Christchurch has also make its way to cricket history. It was a cold and windy morning at Christchurch and Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews won and important toss and as expected he invited New Zealand to bat first. Lasith Malinga, who was injured prior to the World Cup and missed quite few matches, was included in the playing eleven of Sri Lanka for this opening encounter. The team management have decide to drop Thisara Perera and Dinesh Chandimal.
