After the Test and ODI series whitewash, West Indies face New Zealand in the first of the three-match T20Is at Saxton Oval, Nelson. West Indies without the likes of Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard will be eager to win their first match of the tour in their most-preferred format. On the other hand, New Zealand will be led by Tim Southee in absence of Kane Williamson. He will also be without the services of Trent Boult and Adam Milne.

The live cricket streaming of the match will be available in India on Hotstar, while the live telecast will be available on Star Sports Select 1 and Star Sports Select 1 HD. In New Zealand, the live streaming would be available on SkyGo, along with the live telecast on Sky Sport NZ.

The first T20I will also be the last international match of 2017 (although ongoing fourth Ashes Test will end on December 30). In terms of ICC T20I rankings, both the sides are neck-to-neck as New Zealand occupy the third spot, and West Indies are placed fourth.
