Nidahas Trophy 2018: India, Sri Lanka to lock horns in curtain raiser
All the games will be hosted by R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

India played Sri Lanka in mid 2017, and ended the year by hosting them in a three Tests and as many ODIs and T20Is. The subcontinental sides will meet again for the curtain raiser of Nidahas Trophy — to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70 years of independence — whereas Bangladesh will join in as the third participant. The T20I tri-series will comprise of seven matches, including the finale on March 18 (Sunday).

March 6- Sri Lanka vs India
March 8- India vs Bangladesh
March 10- Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh
March 12- Sri Lanka vs India
March 14- India vs Bangladesh
March 16- Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh
March 18- Final
Time- 19:00 PM local time
SCL confirmed the full itinerary, and preponed the tournament, from March 8 to 6, in order to host the finale on Sunday instead of Tuesday.
Bangladesh will play a warm-up encounter in the run-up to the tournament, whereas India will commence the competition without any practice game.

In the 1998 edition, to celebrate the country’s golden jubilee of Independence, India and Sri Lanka played the final of the 50-over tournament. India posted 307, and the Lankans fell short by 7 runs despite a century from skipper Aravinda de Silva. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly had slammed hundreds and had registered the then highest opening partnership (254) in ODIs.
