Nitish praises Young IPL sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his Centurial IPL outing: Announced reward of Rs. 10 lakh

Rajasthan Royals' (RR) youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi was was praised by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his fantastic outing against Gujarat Titans (GT). Nitish also awarded the 14-year-old with a cash reward of Rs. 10 lakh.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar praised 14-year-old Indian Premier League (IPL) sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi as he became the youngest player to leave a massive mark in T20 cricket and scoring a century in the tournament. Nitish even announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh for the youngster for his spectacular performance.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the whole Indian Premier League (IPL) on April 28, as he played bowlers from Gujarat Titans (GT) and had an outing of 38-ball 101, which was accompanied by 11 sixes and 7 fours. This means that 94 runs from Vaibhav’s impressive innings were from boundaries only.

Nitish Kumar made a post on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account as he congratulated and gave his best wishes to Vaibhav. He further stated in his post that the young sensation will be awarded Rs. 10 lakh by the state government.

Congratulations and best wishes to Vaibhav Suryavanshi from Bihar, who has become the youngest player in the history of IPL to score a century. With his hard work and talent, he has emerged as a new hope for Indian cricket. Everyone is proud of him.

I had the opportunity to meet Vaibhav and his father in 2024… After his outstanding performance in the IPL, I congratulated him over phone. He will also be given a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh by the state government. I wish that he creates new records for the Indian team in the future and brings glory to the country,” Kumar said in a post on X.

A highlight of Vaibhav’s outing was when he faced Karim Janat and Ishant Sharma, where he scored 30 runs against Karim and 28 against Ishant. Coming to open the innings along with Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav made-up a strong partnership of 166 runs in 11.5 overs, as they put Rajasthan Royals comfortably completing their chase of 210 runs.
