Following the resignation of Anil Kumble as Team India’s head coach, a series of revelations has begun in media. As per the latest revelation, it is said that not only captain Virat Kohli, but 9 other Indian players gave negative feedback against Kumble. As reported by Mid-Day, one of the three members of BCCI’s Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) met as many as 10 players of the team during the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy 2017, in order to get their feedback over coach Kumble.

Interestingly, not even single player came in support of Kumble as all of them expressed their views against him. As per sources, it is also said that players had even stopped following rules and regulations which were implemented by Kumble during his term as head coach. “There were some rules he had put in place from his first tour last year, which were ignored during the Champions Trophy,” a source disclosed.

“He was putting too much pressure on the players,” a member of the Indian team said before departing to the West Indies. Moreover, it is also being speculated that Kumble’s style of work had led to less freedom among players as compared to the reign of Ravi Shastri from December 2014 to World T20 2016. Reportedly, Shastri was all set to become the head coach last year but Sourav Ganguly told Kumble to apply for this post.
