Northern Knights were trying to go hell for leather right from ball one but the batsman could not connect with the Charl Langevelt’s wayward bowling. There was a run-out chance too but it went begging. Another wayward delivery from the former South African new ball bowler went for a boundary and it was Kane Williamson who was in the act.

Cape Cobras won the toss and elected to bat first in the only encounter of the day in Raipur. Cobras revieved a big blow when their talisman JP Duminy was ruled of the tournament. The high flying knights have been looking solid and are maintaining a largely unchanged line-up. Knights’ key man Daniel Harris misses out this game.
