South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs on Wednesday made a surprising revelation that the bat which the sprint runner Oscar Pistorius used to allegedly kill his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp had his autograph.
Just saw my signature on the bat used by the accused in oscar trial… lol #neveradullmoment
Meanwhile, a forensic analyst from South Africa has said that the bat used to strike the toilet door at Pistorius’s home, during the testimony of the night when the ‘Blade Runner’ fatally shot his girlfriend.
According to the Associated Press, police colonel JG Vermeulen lifted the bat in court and showed it hit the wooden door with bullet mark. The bat is another key evidence provided in the court room.
In February, Pistorius expressed deep regret Friday for killing his girlfriend, one year after he allegedly shot her dead at his Pretoria home.
“No words can adequately capture my feelings about the devastating accident that has caused such heartache for everyone who truly loved and continues to love Reeva [Steenkamp],” the athlete dubbed “Blade Runner” said on his website, reports Xinhua.
