Pakistan cricket team is playing against Bangladesh in the first test of the two-match series at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on August 21. Bangladesh team won the toss and decided to ball first and their decision turned out to be fantastic as they managed to get big wickets in the first 9 overs. Bangladesh took wickets of Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood, and star batter Babar Azam to shock the hosts in the early stages of the game. However, the wicket of Masood started a controversy as a lot of people believed he was not out.
On the fifth ball of seventh over, Shoriful Islam bowled good length delivery, which changed it’s direction. Masood was not able to judge the ball and nicked it, the ball was easily caught by the keeper.
The on-field umpires did not give the decision of out, but Bangladesh appealed upstairs and the review that followed was in their favour. However, when the third umpire checked the ultra edge, the ball appeared close to bat and pad at the same time. This started a wave among the fans that it was not out but was declared as out.
Even PCB posted a question from their official account, asking if the decision of out was right or wrong.
