Pakistan captain Shan Masood was dismissed after making just six runs on the 1st day if the first Test match against Bangladesh. Shoriful Islam was the bowler who took Masood’s wicket, but that decision is now sparking controversy. It was clear that Masood was unhappy with that decision and got in a heated argument with the umpire.
This happened on the fifth ball of 7th over, Shoriful sent a good-length delivery towards off. Masood tried to defend it but missed the ball which went to keeper’s hands. Players from the Bangladesh team came up with an appeal, which the umpire initially declined. However, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto decided to review the decision.
The UltraEdge revealed a slight disturbance when the ball went across the bat. The ball, however, also touched the pad, creating disturbance. The third umpire, concluded that there was slight edge off the bat, which led to the change of original decision.
