Pakistan have clawed their way back into the match against Zimbabwe at Harare in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the three match series. Zimbabwe were put in to bat and after the early dismissal of Hamilton Masakadza, Pakistan had nothing to celebrate about for more than 20 overs, but the close dismissals of Brian Chari and Sean Williams has re-inserted them back into the contest. Chari put on a lovely partnership with Chamu Chibhabha but poked at one delivery from Mohammad Irfan for 39 runs and was caught at slip of the edge. Sean Williams came in next and looked ominous and played a couple of good shots but went for one too many and was done in by the pace and bounce of Wahab Riaz as he attempted to cut a shortish delivery, but instead got a faint edge to first slip. Zimbabwe were reduced to 132 for three against in the 31st over due to the dismissals. Live cricket updates: Zimbabwe vs Pakistan, 2nd ODI at Harare

The problem for Zimbabwe is that they will now have to preserve wickets while also scoring at a quick rate to give themselves the best chance of winning the match and level the series. Pakistan’s aim will be to cash in on the pressure created and dismantle Zimbabwe. Their primary target will be Chibhabha who has batted resolutely.
