Pakistan earned their first break-through in the first ODI against New Zealand after Dean Brownlie was dismissed for 14 by Mohammad Irfan at the Duabi Sports Complex in Dubai on Monday. He was caught by Ahmed Shahzad after going for a swing on the bowl which was outside off and a good diving catch to the right at point by Shahzad. Currently, New Zealand are batting on 30 with opener Anton Devacich and skipper, Kane Williwamson on the crease.

Pakistan and New Zealand start a five-match one-day series in Dubai on Monday with the focus on building confidence and momentum for next year’s ICC World Cup, which is just two months away.
