Legendary India cricketer Virender Sehwag blamed Pakistan for ‘choosing war’ with a social media post on Thursday. Pakistan launched attacks on Jammu and many other military stations in India on the same day, but those attacks were successfully countered by the Indian defense systems.

Sehwag was among the several sportspersons who showed their support to the Indian armed forces for successfully stopping the attacks.

“War has been chosen by Pakistan when they had an opportunity to keep quiet. They have escalated to save their terrorist assets, which speaks so much about them. Our forces will reply most appropriately, a manner Pakistan will never forget,” Sehwag wrote in a post on X.

Former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad blasted Pakistan in a social media post and called it a ‘rogue state’.

“What a complete rogue state Pakistan is. India will sc**w them like how,” Prasad wrote on X.

On Friday, BCCI made the decision to suspend the ongoing season of IPL indefinitely amid growing tensions between India and Pakistan. The fate of the tournament now is in the air.
