Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq are going with the same batting tactics that they applied in the first session. England captain is still going with his fast bowlers. Maybe due to the swing and bounce the pitch is generating!

They will be extremely happy with the their batsmen as they have played a decent game and helped their team out of troubles. Out swinging ball which Shah pokes his bat at ending in giving a simple catch to Hales. But Hales had other ideas as he chooses to spill it instead. Frustrations continue for Woakes and England as just 2 balls later Yasir gets a inside edge and the ball runs away for a boundary

English bowlers have had their moments with Broad and Anderson have had some close calls but nothing more then that. Pitch has generated swing for both pacers which is a good sign for them.

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to CricketCountry’s live match updates from Day Two of the fourth and final Test between England and Pakistan at The Kennington Oval, London. England after winning the toss, were helped by Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow. England finished on 328 in their first innings. For Pakistan it was Sohail Khan who rose with the ball, taking his second ever 5-for in Tests, which was well supported by Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Aamer. Winning the toss, England came out to bat but early jolts kept them on the mat. They lost Alex Hales, James Vince and Gary Ballance in quick successions to give Pakistan the edge till the first two sessions, but a late fightback staged by England’s lower-order propelled their total to 328. Moeen Ali scored his third Test hundred while Jonny Bairstow scored a valiant fifty along with Chris Woakes 45 to give some push to their team’s total.  Pakistan brought in debutant, Iftikhar Ahmed in place of Mohammad Hafeez whereas Rahat Ali missed out and Wahab Riaz came in his place for this decisive Test match.
