Sri Lankan cricket finally breathed a sigh of relief. After being handled a 0-9 thrashing across formats at home prior to their Pakistan series, Sri Lanka put up 419 in the first innings of the first Test against the Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. While opener Dimuth Karunaratne and wicketkeeper Niroshan Dickwella slammed 93 and 83 respectively, the star of the innings was skipper Dinesh Chandimal, who slammed 155 not out. Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas and Yasir Shah claimed 3 wickets each. Yasir in process became the joint second-fastest Pakistani to reach 150 Test wickets. Both, he and former coach Waqar Younis reached the feat in their 27th Test.
The live streaming of the match of the first of 2 Tests between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be available on Sony LIV. The live telecast of the match can be seen on Sony Six and Sony Six HD. One can also catch ball-by-ball commentary of the Pakistan versus Sri Lanka first Test over at CricketCountry’s LIVE SCORECARD.
Despite Sri Lanka getting to a favourable position, they failed to dismiss any of the Pakistani batters. At the end of the second day, Pakistan had put up 64 for 0 with Shan Masood and Sami Aslam batting on 30 and 31 respectively.
