West Indies are all set to face Pakistan in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) of the four-match series on Sunday. The match is scheduled to be played at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. The live cricket telecast of the first T20I between West Indies and Pakistan will be available on Ten Sports for India and PTV for Pakistan. The online streaming of the match will be available on Sony Liv. Pakistan had earlier defeated West Indies 3-0 in UAE in their previous encounter in the shortest format, which was also the last T20I assignment for both the sides as well. West Indies will have the home team advantage but in win-loss ratio, Pakistan will have the moral boost coming after 3-0 in the previous T20I series. However, the team will be tested in West Indies in the format which the Caribbean cricketers are the most competitive. Most of Pakistan’s members have recently played in their domestic Twenty20 (T20) league Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017, which was a good practice for all the upcoming action in the shortest format of the game. However, they have not won a match since their victory in the second One-Day International (ODI) against Australia in January and will be eager to bring in a change in the scenario.
West Indies won their last match back in November last year against Sri Lanka, during the Zimbabwe Tri-nation series. Though West Indies have gone through tough times to find positive returns of late, they now seem to have a balanced side and the series is expected to be a close contest. This series will be West Indies’ chance to give it back to Pakistan at their home.
