Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bat in the second One-Day International against South Africa in Dubai.

After the hara-kiri Pakistan committed in the first ODI, they will be under pressure to win this encounter and level the five-match series.

Here’s what skipper Misbah-ul-Haq had to say ahead of the match: “If we keep recalling about what happened in the last match it will be difficult. We must forget that and all our players should play the next match as a new game. The last six batsmen should have batted, knowing how many runs were needed to score. It is very disappointing that they played very irresponsible shots.

I think it is high time players understand how to play under such situations,” added Misbah, whose dismissal for 31 in the 36th over proved to be the turning point,” he said.

Teams:

Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Misbah-ul-Haq (c), Umar Amin, Umar Akmal (wk), Shahid Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Irfan

South Africa: Colin Ingram, Graeme Smith, JP Duminy, AB de Villiers (c & wk), Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Ryan McLaren, Wayne Parnell, Morne Morkel, Imran Tahir, Lonwabo Tsotsobe
