Pakistan win toss, elect to field against Sri Lanka in 1st Test at Abu Dhabi

Pakistan won the toss and elected to field against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan skipper  Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to field against Sri Lanka in the first Test match played at Abu Dhabi. It is the first Test of a three match series.

 

The wicket looks dry and is devoid of grass.  Pakistan go into the Test series full of confidence after winning the three match One-Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka.  Pakistan handed Ahmed Shehzad and Bilawal Bhatti their first Test cap. Mohammad Hafeez is back in the team for Azhar Ali. Sachithra Senanayake makes debut for Sri Lanka.

Pakistan: Khurram Manzoor, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Younis Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq (c), Asad Shafiq, Adnan Akmal (wk), Bilawal Bhatti, Saeed Ajmal, Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan.

 

Sri Lanka: Dimuth Karunaratne, Kaushal Silva, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews (c), Prasanna Jayawardene (wk), Sachithra Senanayake, Rangana Herath, Shaminda Eranga, Suranga Lakmal.
