Barring the 72-run stand for the third wicket, New Zealand never really looked to be on course to winning this match. Dipendra Singh Airee and Prem Tamang shared five wickets between them. A couple of run outs did not help New Zealand’s cause as well. Nepal take on Ireland in their next match and then play a match against India. A win will give them great confidence going into the remaining matches in the tournament.
