Parthiv Patel-led Gujarat won the Swarnim Gujarat G1 Reliance One-day tournament beating Saurashtra by 95 runs in the final.
Gujarat batting first after winning the toss, made a competitive 311 for nine wickets off 50 overs and then bundled out Saurashtra for 216 at Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) Stadium at Khandheri.
Himalaya Barad (74), Piyush Tanwar (65) and Manprit Juneja (60) were the notable contributors for Gujarat, while Saurashtra seamer Abhishek Bhatt took two wickets.
Chasing 312 runs to win, Saurashtra had a poor start. They lost two wickets in first five overs and half the team was back in pavilion when the score was just 57 runs.
However, Chirag Jani and Kuldeep Rawal put some resistance and made 73 runs and 61 runs, respectively before their team was all out on 216 off 43.2 overs.
For Gujarat, Jasprit Bumrah and Kamlesh Thakore took four wickets each.
Two teams each from the three cricket associations in the State – Saurashtra, Baroda and Gujarat – took part in the competition.
