PCB’s big Announcement- Playing XI for 1st Test against Bangladesh

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made the announcement of Pakistan’s Playing XI for the 1st Test match against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place on 21 August in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Sham Masood & Co. are to appear with four pace bowlers as the pitch conditions of the venue helps pacers. Speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi will lead the attack with pace bowling along with Naheem Shah, Mohammad Ali and Khurram Shahzad. This will be the fist time Masood will be leading Pakistan team in a home series.
This two-match Test series is the part of third cycle of World Test Championship, where Pakistan is at the sixth among the nine teams. Bangladesh on the other hand, holds the eighth position.
Pakistan captain Shah Masood gave his statement for Bangladesh team saying that he refused to accept that the team is under-prepared.
“You expect all international Test sides to come into a series well prepared and trying to play their best cricket,” he said.
“Bangladesh is a side that has quality players in all departments and we highly respect the challenges they bring as a side to us.”
