PSL kicked off last week and has seen lots of action on and off the field. Peshawar Zalmi, who performed well in the group stages of the inaugural season, are again showing their class in second edition as well. They are the No. 1 side right now with Gladiators closely following them in the second spot. Both sides are equal on paper and as a result of this, they have notched up 2 wins out of 3 games. Sarfraz Ahmed’s Gladiators won their opening two encounters against Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. They lost their last clash against Islamabad United and will like to rebuild in this match.

On the other hand, Darren Sammy’s Zalmi met with similar fate in the opening clash of this edition against United. They, however, made up for it in style against Kings as well as Qalandars. They will like to extend their lead at the top spot when they lock horns with Gladiators on Friday evening.
