It was a historic day for Indian men’s and women’s cricket team as they registered their first T20 International (T20I) series win on Australian soil. MS Dhoni took time out and took a snap with the Indian’s women team after the second T20I at Melbourne. The Indian team led byMithali Raj performed incredibly well to lead them to wins in Adelaide and then followed it up with an emphatic win at Melbourne. The same can be said about MS Dhoni. After a 1-4 series loss, he has done commendably well to lead India to a win in the T20I series, with one match to spare, which will be played at Sydney on Sunday. The men’s and the women’s team will be eyeing a whitewash, which will make the series win even more sweeter. Full Cricket Scorecard: India vs Australia 2015-16, 2nd T20I at Melbourne
Virat Kohli has been the star for India with bat in hand. He is yet to be dismissed in the T20I series and has notched up a couple of half-centuries as well. The Indian bowling finally seems to be stepping up and restricting the Australian batsmen, something they failed to do on a consistent basis in the One-Day International (ODI) series. The women’s team have put in an comprehensive performance with both bat and ball and have ensured that they win both their matches comfortably. It will be interesting to see if both the Indian teams can register wins in the final match at Sydney. If they manage to do that, it will be historic in every sense.
