After being sworn in as the 15th Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi understandably has enough on his plate without having to indulge in his duties as president of the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA).

According to a report in ndtv.com, Modi resigned as president of GCA. The GCA went on to call a meeting of the Special General Body, scheduled to be held on June 13 in which they will decide on a new president for the cricketing body. Reports hint at Modi’s close aide Amit Shah being the new GCA chief, but there is no confirmation of that yet.
