Prithvi Shaw’s 546: Cash Prize, free education announced for batsman after creating record

Within a day after 14-year-old Prithvi Shaw achieved the feat of scoring the highest runs in an innings by an Indian in school cricket (546), various awards and recognitions are being showered on the young prodigy. The Rizvi Education Society (RES) has awarded free education for Prithvi. Dr Akhtar Hasan Rizvi, the chairman of RES has also announced a cash prize of one lakh for the batsman.
According to a Mid Day report, he will be gifted a miniature Harris Shield by Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA)’s Presdent Fr Jude Rodrigues.
On Wednseday, batting overnight on 257, Prithvi slammed more runs against St Francis D’Assissi to complete the 500-run mark before finally getting out on 546. His 330-ball innings included 85 boundaries and five sixes.
