JP Duminy‘s unbeaten quickfire innings of 54-ball 73 powered Islamabad United to the top the of the PSL 2018 points table. The won their fifth game in tournament by 26 runs against Peshawar Zalmi. Duminy also got support from Asif Ali with his cameo of 24-ball 45. Samit Patel later defended the total of 182 by scalping 4 wickets for 34. Zafar Gohar, too, assisted Patel as he ended with figures of 3 for 25. Their combined efforts restricted Peshawar Zalmi to 156 for 9 in 20 overs.
Zalmi’s top and middle-order withered out under pressure. Kamran Akmal and Andre Fletcher’s promising start in chase was nipped in the bud by Samit, who picked three wickets on either side of the batting powerplay.
