Newcomers in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018, Multan Sultans registered their second consecutive win in the tournament to top the points table. In a one-sided affair, Sultans beat Lahore Qalandars by 43 runs. It was combined effort by Imran Tahir and Junaid Khan, who claimed 6 wickets between them to down Qalandars for 136, chasing 180 to win. Junaid went on to pick up his first PSL hat-trick as well; second overall.

Qalandars innings never got off to a steady start, they kept on losing players at regular intervals. Farkhar Zaman and Umar Akmal made sizeable contributions, making 49 and 31 respectively.
