Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals Players to go back via special train following blackout in Dharamshala

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) had to be abandoned. After the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) stated in a statement that the match had to be abandoned due to technical difficulties.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) had to be abandoned. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) mentioned in a statement that PBKS vs DC clash in Dharamshala had to be abandoned due to technical difficulties. One of the floodlight stopped working due to power shortage in the area.

The BCCI regrets this inconvenience caused to the all the spectators and the people in the vicinity of the venue. Now as the match is abandoned, special arrangements are going to be made in order for the players to come back from Dharamshala, and everyone is going to be brought back by a special train.

Continuous attacks are being carried out by Pakistan, due to which a number of special arrangements had to be made in order to make sure the players and the spectators are safe.

Players will travel to Delhi via train
The BCCI has made special arrangements with the Vande Bharat for the players and the support staff out of the city. The station that is closest to where they are as of now, is Una, and is most likely from were the players will board the train to Delhi.

Match got abandoned due to floodlight issue
Punjab Kings were batting first, and during the 11th over of their batting, the floodlight tower malfunctioned and stopped working at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, due to which the match had to be called off.

After that, two more towers Soon after people started evacuating, the IPL announced on their official X (formerly known as twitter) account that the match has been cancelled.

BCCI said in the official statement, due to power failure in the area, one of the light towers at the HPCA Stadium malfunctioned, BCCI regrets the inconvenience caused to the spectators present in the stadium
