Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) David Hussey has won the toss and elected to bat first against Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the 64th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Ferozshah Kotla in New Delhi.
Delhi has two changes – Ross Taylor and Pawan Negi make a comeback in the team in place of Roelef van der Merwe and Yogesh Nagar.
Punjab too has made two changes for the match – David Miller replaces Ryan Harris and Harmeet Singh replaces Sidhharth Chitnis.
The two teams have had contrasting results in their previous matches. While Delhi were completely outplayed by Chennai Super Kings after their top-order flopped miserably, KXIP eked out a victory off the last ball courtesy some lusty shots by stand-in-captain David Hussey and young Gurkeerat Singh Ahluwalia.
DD: David Warner, Virender Sehwag(c), Mahela Jayawardene, Ross Taylor, Naman Ojha(wk), Venugopal Rao, Irfan Pathan, Pawan Negi, Morne Morkel, Varun Aaron, Umesh Yadav
KXIP: Nitin Saini(wk), Mandeep Singh, Shaun Marsh, David Hussey(c), Azhar Mahmood, David Miller, Gurkeerat Singh, Piyush Chawla, Praveen Kumar, Parvinder Awana, Harmeet Singh
