Star Indian Pacer Jasprit Bumrah known for his accuracy and different variations in bowling received an important message from one of the best all-rounder in the history of cricket, Irfan Pathan that Either give everything for the team or rest properly instead of selective participation for workload management.
The fourth test will be do or die situation for Indian team, On the eve at Old Trafford former legend praised the skills and mindset of the Bumrah but Irfan Pathan urged him to put some more efforts more then 100 percent in the Manchester test.
“I absolutely adore Jasprit Bumrah, I absolutely love his skills. He is outstanding. However, I believe that when you play for India, you have to give it your all.
The more things said by Irfan Pathan on his You tube Channel “When you talk about a five-over spell, when Root comes, you are not bowling the sixth over. You have to give it all. Either you give everything or you rest properly,”
“When it comes to a nation or a team, when you are playing for a team, you play for them. Team always comes first,” he added.
As per the previous plan, Jasprit Bumrah was supposed to play in the three matches out of five but the current scenario is that England is leading the contest with 2-1 and India need to win the next match to level the scores otherwise they will lose the series.
“Not questioning that he hasn’t put in efforts. He has bowled overs. There is no doubt about it. However, when it comes to going the extra mile for the team, you have to do that,” Pathan said.
“Bumrah will remain at the top for a long time if he continues to win games regularly for India. You have to put in that extra effort when the team needs you. Ben Stokes did that, and Jofra did it after four years,” he added.
Bumrah was included in the Playing XI for first and third test, where he showed excellence level of bowling and great amount of talent and skills.
In the first test at Headingley, Bumrah showed his dominance with a five-wicket haul in the first innings and improves his bowling figures.
