R Ashwin has become the second-most wicket-taker in Test matches on Asian soil. He surpassed Anil Kumble to reach the second place on the list of most wicket takers in Asia.

Before this match, both Ashwin and Anil had 419 wickets to their name, but now as Ashwin took the wicket of Shanto, he crossed Anil in the list.
