India batting star Rahul Dravid is set to start a new innings by entering in corporate business as an investor in the power sector.
Dravid is said to have made a trip to Champa-Janjgir district in Chhattisgarh where he visited an upcoming site of a 3600-Mw power plant set up by a Hyderabad-based company.
“Dravid stayed in the plant site for more than two hours and even told the people that he would now frequently visit the area,” a top administrative official in Janjgir-Champa district.
A senior official in the directorate of sport said that Dravid’s Chhattisgarh visit had nothing to do with any sports activities.
“It was his personal visit and no sports organisation in the state had invited him for any function,”the official clarified.
