Heavy rain washed out the first One-Day International match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand without a ball being bowled at Pallekele on Thursday.

 

The cut-off time for the match was 08.00 pm local time. 

 

It was raining since the afternoon and even the toss didn’t happen.

 

Earlier, the one-off Twenty20 International between the two sides was washed out on Tuesday after several rain interruptions at the same venue.
