Hyderabad: Jan 4, 2012

Rajasthan have virtually assured themselves a semifinal berth in the Ranji Trophy tournament after bundling out Hyderabad for 144 and then enforcing follow-on on the hosts.

Left-arm spinner Gajendra Singh was the most successful bowler for Rajasthan with a four-wicket haul while Vivek Yadav and Sumeet took two wickets apiece.

Replying to Rajasthan’s 421, the hosts put up a pathetic batting display as they lost last eight wickets for 109 runs on Wednesday after starting the day at 35 for two.

Captain D Ravi Teja (67) and N Arjun Yadav (42) were the only Hyderabad batsmen to put up a semblance of resistance against the Rajasthan attack.

In their second innings, Hyderabad put up a better show as they made 138 runs for no loss when the stumps were drawn for the day.
