The winners of the first edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Rajasthan Royals on Monday announced its tie up with the Jaipur Marathon 2012, to be held on January 22.
As part of this initiative, the Royals will be the marathon’s fitness partner.
Rajasthan Royals, through its digital platforms and sponsor networks, will encourage and enable 500 fans to run the Marathon and support the worldwide movement for health and fitness.
The fans will run wearing Rajasthan Royals T-shirts and the best among them will be rewarded with RR tickets and exclusive merchandise. Sponsors of the Rajasthan Royals have also confirmed their support for this initiative.
“For a people’s team like Rajasthan Royals, it is a privilege to be associated with an event that inspires all individuals to inculcate a health and fitness culture,” said Raghu Iyer, CEO, Rajasthan Royals.
The Royals had recently also signed up with the Sanskar School Cricket Tournament to develop, nurture and motivate young talent at the grassroots level.
Starting from the quarterfinals, various Rajasthan Royals players and coaches watched the tournament and scouted for talent. (PTI)
