A collective bowling effort gave Jammu and Kashmir team a good chance to gain first innings lead against Andhra Pradesh on day two of their Group C Ranji Trophy match.
Jammu and Kashmir reduced Andhra Pradesh to 191 for eight after ending their first innings at 225. They resumed at 173 for six and added 52 runs before being bowled out. Waseem Raza batting at the number 10 position played a crucial role with his unbeaten 27-run knock.
Ram Dayal, Mohammed Mudhasir, Owais Shah and Parvez Rasool took two wickets each to help J&K reach a position from where they can take a first innings lead.
Andhra opener Srikar Bharat top scored for the side with his 39 before being caught behind off Shah. Their hopes to overhaul J&K score rest on Kakani Harish, who was unbeaten on 21 and giving him company was Marripuri Suresh (17).
