Ahmedabad: Rush Kalaria and captain Parthiv Patel starred in Gujarat‘s nine-wicket win over Haryana in an eventful Ranji Trophy Group B match that ended in less than two days at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel stadium in Ahmedabad. Haryana went on to add 39 runs to their overnight 71/6, setting a 115-run target for the hosts.

Patel (62*) and Chirag Gandhi (42*) took the team home in 18 overs after opener Priyank Kirit Panchal departed early. As much as 26 wickets on day one of the match with Haryana and Gujarat making 129 and 125 respectively.

Left-arm pacer Kalaria ended with a nine-wicket match haul including a fifer in the second innings. Gujarat now have 24 points from eight games and Haryana have 17 points.

Haryana 129 & 110 (Jayant Yadav 33*; Rush Kalari 5 for 26, Hardik Patel 3 for 29) lost to Gujarat 125 and 115/1 (Parthiv Patel 62 not out, Chirag Gandhi 42 not out) by 9 wickets.
