Saurabh Tiwary struck a hundred as Jharkhand posted an impressive 295 for four in their first innings on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy Group C match against Hyderabad at Ranchi on Wednesday.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, Jharkhand put up a strong performance with Ishan Kishan (66) and Ishank Jaggi (58) being the other major contributors to the team’s effort.

Tiwary however, was the standout performer, scoring exactly a 100, which came off 192 balls and included 13 fours and a six.

Among the Hyderabadi bowlers, Ashish Reddy had the best figures of the day, conceding 21 runs from the eight overs that he bowled while taking the wicket of opening batsman Prakash Munda.
