Jammu:  Ian Dev Singh scored a century to help Jammu & Kashmir reach 325 for five on the third and penultimate day of their Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match against Goa. J&K still need 227 more runs with five wickets in hands to topple the visitors’ massive first innings total of 552 for five declared.Resuming at 43 for two, the overnight batsmen — Ian and Pranav Gupta — put on 100 runs together for the third wicket.While Ian, after resuming on 13, scored a 184-ball 115 that included 20 boundaries, Pranav hit a quickfire 56 off 60 balls with the help of 11 fours.

Even after Pranav got out, Ian continued in the able company of veteran Mithun Manhas and the two shared a crucial 156-run stand for the fourth wicket to take the team past 250-run mark.At stumps, Manhas was unbeaten on 95 and giving him company was Aamir Aziz on 12.Earlier, on Day 2 for Swapnil Asnodkar hit a wonderful double century as Goa declared their innings closed at 552 for 5 in their first innings and then reduced Jammu & Kashmir to 43 for 2 on the second day of a Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match. Resuming on 263 for 1, overnight batsmen — Asnodkar, who was on 74, and Sagun Kamat, on 57 — went on to put up a solid 213 runs for the second wicket to take the team past the mark of 400 runs. Asnodkar scored 232 off 360 deliveries and his knock was studded with 28 fours and three sixes, while Kamat hit a 105 off 292 deliveries with the help of 11 hits to the fence and a single six.
