Day 2 started with Sumeet Verma secures the second hundred of the Himachal innings. Sumeet added 142 runs in 194 balls (17 four's and 3 sixes) which enabled Himachal's score past the 300 run mark. Prashant Chopra on Day 1 whipped a 152-ball 117 to help Himachal stay in the game. Andhra Pradesh bowlers were tight and kept bowling in the right areas, Stephen was the star with the ball with 3 for 74, alongside Siva Kumar and Ayyappa Bandaru's two-wicket each. <p></p> <p></p>In reply, Andhra Pradesh played just 14 overs, where most of the game was delayed due to bad outfield. Andhra were off to a poor start losing K S Bharat for just 6 runs, after Rishi Dhawan got him leg-before. It was the pair of Prashanth Kumar and Hanuma Vihari who steady their ship.
