At Thiruvananthapuram: Hosts Kerala were off to a shaky start against visitors Saurashtra in Group B on the opening day of Round Six of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday. Winning the toss, Kerala batted first, but were bundled for 225, courtesy Dharmendrasinh Jadeja’s six-for, while Sanju Samson was the top scorer with 68 runs. In reply, Saurashtra are currently 37 for no loss. Kerala were 121 for the loss of three wickets at lunch, while at tea, they were 195 for six, before they were bundled in the post-tea session. At Rohtak: Hosts Haryana were off to a struggling start against visitors Jammu & Kashmir in Group B on the opening day of Round Six of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy at the Ch Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Rohtak on Friday. Put into bat first, Haryana are currently struggling at 119 for the loss of seven wickets, with Mohammed Mudhasir having claimed four for 34 so far, while Himanshu Rana has been the top scorer so far with 35 runs. Haryana were 66 for four at lunch, while they were 119 for seven at tea when bad light stopped the play. Going by the current scenario, J&K are clearly on the top of the game.
