At Ranchi: Gujarat ended Day One at 262 for 4 versus Jharkhand. Opting to bowl, Jharkhand bowlers were made to work hard for regular breakthroughs. Samit Gohel and Priyank Panchal started well and added 57 runs for the opening stand. Shahbaz Nadeem came into picture, and reduced Gujarat to 134 for 3. However, an unbeaten stand and half-centuries from Manprit Juneja and Rujul Bhatt ensured Gujarat went to stumps without any further damage.
Jharkhand can bounce back if they can get early wickets and keep Gujarat under 350.

Later, they were 137 for 4 and again slipped to 205 for 7. Skipper Amit Mishra (31*) will be eager to add some vital runs when play resumes.

At Jaipur: Avi Barot’s unbeaten hundred has given a perfect platform for Saurashtra against Rajasthan. Rajasthan removed Saurashtra openers soon and had them reeling at 36 for 2. However, the script changed from thereon. Robin Uthappa got along with Barot, and the duo took the team out of a troubled waters. The pair scored at a good rate, before Uthappa departed for 59.
The momentum was carried forward by Sheldon Jackson and Barot. They have added 124 runs together, and will look to take the score above 450.
