Ronit More recorded his second five-wicket haul in first-class cricket as Mumbai collapsed to be bowled out for 205 in their reply to Karnataka's first innings total of 400. On Day 3 of their 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, Elite A, Round 3 fixture at the KSCA Stadium, the hosts had stretched their lead to 276.

Mumbai, after resuming on their overnight total of 99/2, lost Jay Bista (70) quickly to Prasidha Krishna. More then struck twice in quick interval to land the big scalps of Suryakumar Yadav (17) and Aditya (1) reducing the visitors to 119/5.

Siddesh Lad (22) and Shivam Dubey tried stabilising the innings with a 32-run stand. Prasidh struck again to break the partnership with the wicket of Lad. Karnakata captain Shreyas Gopal added to their misery by striking in consecutive overs putting them in real danger of being bowled out under 200 runs.

However, Shams Mulani (34) played a handy innings to take them to 205 before More picked up the remaining two wickets to finish with figures of 5/52. Karnataka this secured a 195-run lead.

Mumbai captain Dhawal Kulkarni gave two early jolts to Karnataka ashe got rid of both their openers inside nine overs. When stumps were drawn, they were 81/3 with Krishnamurthy Siddarth unbeaten on 30 and had Stuart Binny (2*) for company.
