Left-arm spinner Harsh Tyagi claimed a whopping seven wickets as Railways left defending champions Vidarbha on the mat in the second innings on the penultimate day of their Round 6 Ranji Trophy 2018-19 Elite A match at the Karnail Singh Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday.
After being skittled out for 236 in their first dig to concede a 95-run first-innings deficit, Railways bounced back with the ball to bowl out the opposition for 147. Tyagi, playing in just his fifth match, first had opener Faiz Fazal trapped leg before for 21. Sanjay Ramaswamy quickly followed his partner in the next over after he was castled by Avinash Yadav for 26.

Vidarbha soon slipped to 75/4 in the 25th over with Tyagi claiming the next wicket in the experienced Wasim Jaffer, who departed lbw for just 13. After the departure of Ganesh Satish (14) to Avinash Yadav, who claimed his third wicket, Tyagi then ran through the batting order claiming the next five wickets in 18 overs to leave Vidarbha all out for 147 and leave Railways with 242 runs to win.
Tyagi returned with exceptional figures of 7 for 41 in his 22.5 overs, while Yadav went for 102 runs in his 25 overs and picked three wickets.
In reply, Railways were 19/1 at stumps with Prashant Singh, who missed out on a century by five runs in the first essay, and Nitin Bhille batting on 9 and 3 respectively.

Earlier, resuming their overnight score at 170/2, Railways were bowled out for 236, with offspinner Akshay Wakhare picking up a fifer.
