After claiming 6/13 on debut, Uttarakhand pacer Deepak Dhapola, continued to impress taking 7/50 on day one of his second game for Uttarakhand as the Rajat Bhatia-led side bundled out Manipur for 137 at Abhimanyu Cricket Academy, Dehradun.

After winning the toss, Bhatia opted to bowl first and the decision was proved right when Dhapola reduced Manipur to 15/2 removing Lakhan Arjun Rawat (0) and Priyojit K (0). Opener Prafullomani and Yashpal Singh then steadied the innings with a 40-run stand before Sunny provided the breakthrough removing Prafullomani for 32.

Dhapola then scythed through the middle-order to end with 7/50 in his 16 overs. Yaspal Singh top-scored with 38.

In reply, Karanveer Kaushal made 45 off 55 as Uttarakhand finished day one at 123/5, trailing Manipur by just 14 runs.

At DSA Stadium, Jorhat, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 220 after being at a healthy 173/4 against Mizoram before allowing the Mizoram to score 92/3 at close of play.

Opting to bat first, openers Samarth Seth and Doria put on 39 runs before Seth was removed by Taruwar Kohli. Kohli then removed Techi Tahin for a first ball duck.

However, Arunachal’s middle-order stepped up with Kshitiz Sharma scoring 49, Akhilesh Sahani making 68 and skipper Kamsha Yangfo adding 48. Mizoram though fought back and claimed the last six wicket for just 47 runs. Sinan finished with 3/66 while Kohli ended up with 3/62. Akhil Rajut claimed 2/5.

In reply, Mizoram lost skipper Mikal for a two-ball duck but Rajput and Hruaizela added 54 runs for the second wicket. Rajut scored 57

At Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, Sikkim rode on good performances by their outstation players to take pole position against Nagaland. Despite skipper Rongsen Jonathan’s 86, Nagaland were bowled out for 179 with outstation players Ishwar Choudhary (4/65), Bipul Sharma (3/46) and Milind Kumar (2/21) taking nine wickets between them.

In reply, Nagaland’s Pawan Suyal accounted for the all five Sikkim wickets to fall but Milind came to the fore with the bat scoring a breezy 78* off 66 balls, taking his team to 120/5 at close of play

At CAP Siechem Ground, Puducherry, hosts rode on Paras Dogra’s 101 and Skipper Rohit Damodaran’s unbeaten 61 to finish day one at 269/7 against Meghalaya.

Opting to bat first, Puducherry lost opener Narayanan for eight to Lakhan Singh but M Viknesh and Dogra put on 69 for the second wicket. Dogra then forged a 106-run stand with Rohit before falling to A Singhania. Abhishek Nayar (57), playing his 100th FC game, then added 78 runs with Rohit. But Meghalaya finished strong claiming four wickets for just three runs.
