Jammu & Kashmir registered their third win of the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season after beating Assam by four wickets at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.
The day began with J&K needing 211 runs to beat the hosts, and from 6 without loss the visiting team achieved their target in 69.3 overs for the loss of six wickets. Shubham Khajuria (67 from 194 balls) and skipper Parvez Rasool (67 from 87) were the main contributors, along with handy roles from Owais Shah (31 off 36) and Irfan Pathan (33* off 57).
For Assam, Arup Das (3/46) and Mrinmoy Dutta (2/59) were the main wicket-takers.
This win puts J&K at fifth place in Group C.
