Ranji Trophy: Rajasthan eye sixth win after Robin Bist’s 169*

Rajasthan will fancy their chances of a sixth win in eight matches after having hosts Goa five down for 199, trailing by 70 runs in their second innings, at the close of day three of their 2018-19 Ranji Trophy game at Porvorim.

From an overnight 343/3, Rajasthan declared on 513/8 with Robin Bist  continuing his good season with his 15th first-class century and second score of 150 or more in a row. Bist moved from 98 overnight to 169 not out, facing 265 balls and hitting 11 fours and four sixes. Ashok Menaria contributed 76 and TN Dhillon 40 off 31 balls.

Rocked by two early wickets from Tanveer-ul-Haq, Goa were revived from 11/2 through a stand worth  175 from skipper Sagun Kamat and the in-form Amit Verma. Kamat was dismissed for 96 by Tanveer and Deepak Chahar quickly grabbed two wickets before stumps as Goa ended the day on 199/5. Verma is 84 not out off 136 balls, having hit 10 fours and one six.
