Nagaland wasted no time on the third day of their Ranji Trophy, round eight clash to get rid of Arunachal tail in an innings and 120-run win in Dimapur.

Resuming on their overnight total of 98/7, Arunachal innings lasted 65 deliveries as Abrar Kazi added two more wickets in an over to his tally to finish with career-best figures of 6/22. His first bowled Techi Neri for 7 and then had Deendyal caught for a two-ball duck.

Licha Tehi struck two fours in his 19-ball 10 before being run out as Arunachal were bowled out for 122 in 53.5 overs. It was Nagaland’s second win of the season Arunachal are still winless after seven matches.

On the second day, Nagaland declared after having taken a 242-run first innings lead. Arunachal began well, led by Techi Doria, in their second dig with the openers adding 47 runs before, again, losing their way.

Kazi triggered the collapse when he trapped Neelam Obi lbw on 12 in the 15th over. Doria was the next to depart after scoring 33. Kazi finished the day with 4/12 while Imliwati Lemtur and Pawan Suyal chipped in with a wicket each.
