After claiming a first innings lead of 181 runs over Puducherry, Nagaland extend the lead to 366 runs by close of play on day three at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima on Wednesday in Ranji Trophy 2018-19

Puducherry, who started the day at a healthy 224/3, were bundled out for 286, losing their last seven wickets for just 41 runs. Paras Dogra made 144 while opener S Karthik added 81 on day two.

The next best score was V Marimuthu’s 21 as Puducherry’s lower-order crumbled. Spinner Abrar Kazi took 4/62 while I Lemtur added 3/57.

In their second dig, Nagaland lost openers P Sehrawat (10) and S Rupero (5) to Pankaj Singh early, but N Lochab and HH Zhimoni steadied the ship adding 47 and 49 runs, respectively. At close of play Zhimoni was in the middle with Kazi on 42 off 36 balls with the team score on 185/5, and a lead of 366 over Puducherry.
