Former India cricketer Ravi Shastri will head a three-member BCCI probe team to investigate the role played by Gurunath Meiyappan in the IPL 2013 betting racket.

According to NDTV, this panel will also include Ajay Shirke and a retired High Court judge.

Meiyappan was earlier arrested on charges of his alleged involvement in betting during the Indian Premier League 2013 after arrested bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh revealed Meiyappan’s name. Both, Gurunath and Vindoo were brought face-to-face by the Mumbai Police on Sunday.
